Makkah authorities on high alert after heavy rainfall

Makkah municipality has launched an operational plan aimed at maintaining public safety and managing traffic flow following recent heavy rainfall.

Field teams began immediate work to remove accumulated water and clear drainage systems to improve floodwater movement and prevent blockages.

Authorities said teams remain on high alert and are responding to flooding incidents across the city.

Residents have been urged to follow safety instructions and cooperate with field teams to reduce risks.
