The Riyadh Metro has crossed 100 million passengers in less than nine months since launching in December.

According to the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, the Blue Line on Olaya Road recorded the highest ridership at 46.5 million passengers, followed by the Red Line on King Abdullah Road with 17 million and the Orange Line on Madinah Road with 12 million. The remaining three lines accounted for 24.5 million passengers, bringing total usage to 100 million.

The metro’s performance has maintained a remarkable operational regularity rate of 99.78 percent since its opening. Key stations, including Qasr Al-Hukm, Financial Center, STC and the National Museum attracted nearly 29 percent of all users, as they serve as major interchange points between lines.

The Riyadh Metro system is complemented by a wide network of buses and public transport stops, creating an integrated system that provides residents and visitors with seamless mobility options. Officials said this urban transport model strengthens Riyadh’s move toward modern, sustainable and accessible public transportation.
