Saudi Arabia's King Salman has issued a set of royal decrees announcing a significant reshuffle in key government positions across the Kingdom.

As part of the changes, Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz al-Saud has been relieved from his duties as governor of Jazan Region. He will be succeeded by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, who has been appointed to the post with ministerial rank.

In other major appointments, Prince Bandar bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz al-Saud has been named advisor at the royal court, while Prince Nasser bin Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Jalawi al-Saud has been appointed deputy governor of Jazan Region. Both positions carry the rank of Excellent.

Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad al-Saud, previously a member of the Shura Council, has been appointed deputy governor of Al-Qassim Region, also with the rank of Excellent.

Prince Dr Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf al-Muqrin, currently special advisor to the King, will now serve as acting deputy minister of interior. In a related move, Dr Nasser bin Abdulaziz al-Daoud has been reassigned from the interior ministry to serve as deputy minister of the national guard, with ministerial rank.

The reshuffle also includes several civilian appointments. Mr Fahd bin Abdullah al-Askar has been named deputy chief of the royal court, while Mr Tamim bin Abdulaziz al-Salem becomes deputy private secretary to the King, both with the rank of minister.

Dr Mohammed bin Saud bin Musa al-Tamimi has been relieved as governor of the communications, space and technology commission and will now head the national emergency management authority, also with ministerial rank.

Dr Inas bint Sulaiman bin Mohammed al-Issa has been appointed deputy minister of education, while Professor Abdullah bin Siraj bin Mustafa Zaqzouq has been named head of private affairs for the Crown Prince. Both positions carry the rank of Excellent.

The royal orders reflect a broader administrative reorganisation aimed at enhancing governance and streamlining leadership across key sectors.
