Saudi Arabia and Brazil have formalized the establishment of the Saudi-Brazilian Coordination Council. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Tuesday in Rio de Janeiro by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Brazilian counterpart, Mauro Vieira.

This development follows prior agreements between the leadership of both nations, aiming to enhance cooperation across various sectors. The council is expected to serve as a strategic platform to deepen collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, culture and technology.

Prince Faisal's visit to Brazil coincided with the conclusion of the G20 Summit, underscoring the importance of this bilateral engagement on the global stage. During their meeting, the foreign ministers reviewed the current state of relations and explored avenues for further development.

The establishment of the Saudi-Brazilian Coordination Council marks a pivotal step in strengthening ties between the two countries, reflecting a shared commitment to fostering mutual growth and understanding.
