According to the Saudi Press Agency, the two leaders explored avenues to enhance cooperation across various sectors, emphasising the importance of fostering deeper ties between Riyadh and Ottawa.

The discussion also addressed the current situation in the Middle East, with both leaders reaffirming their shared commitment to promoting sustainable peace in the region.

Prime Minister Carney, who assumed office in March following the resignation of Justin Trudeau and subsequently secured a victory in the May general elections, highlighted energy security and expanded trade relations as key priorities during the call.
