London: On Monday, UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman engaged in a productive conversation. Prime Minister Starmer expressed gratitude for the crown prince’s congratulations on his recent election victory and provided an update on his initial days in office, according to a statement from Downing Street.

During their discussion on Middle Eastern affairs, Prime Minister Starmer lauded the crown prince for his leadership in fostering regional stability. He reiterated the UK's steadfast commitment to peace and security in the region.

The leaders also reflected on the robust UK-Saudi relationship, particularly through the Strategic Partnership Council. Both expressed eagerness to meet in person soon and collaborate on areas of mutual interest, including trade, investment and defense cooperation.
