A yellow weather alert has been issued in parts of Abu Dhabi, advising residents to exercise caution outdoors. The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecasted rain in some Eastern and Southern areas, with winds potentially reaching speeds of 40kmph.

The alert will remain in place until 7pm today, as per the NCM advisory. A drizzle was already reported in Al Ain's Al Qou area at around 8:47am.

The Abu Dhabi Police have also urged drivers to be extra careful on the roads. Cumulus clouds are expected to form in the UAE's eastern and southern areas this afternoon, though it is unclear if hail will occur as it did yesterday.

Today's weather will be clear to partly cloudy, with low clouds over the east coast this morning. Temperatures are expected to be lower than in recent days, with highs of 46 degrees Celsius in Abu Dhabi and 44 degrees Celsius in Dubai.

Humidity will rise again this evening, continuing until Friday morning in some coastal areas. Winds are light to moderate but may become active, reaching speeds of up to 40kmph.

Waves in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman will be light.
