Ajman suspends bus-on-demand service until further notice
cancel

Ajman’s bus-on-demand (BOD) service has been suspended starting June 4 until further notice, according to an announcement made by the authorities on Tuesday. The service, which operated minibuses from 6am to 11pm, aimed to reduce commuter waiting times and ease traffic congestion.

The BOD service allowed passengers to book seats through an app, which then determined the route based on service requests. Users specified their location and destination and the AI-powered app provided the nearest pickup point.

Passengers paid Dh7 through the app, with an additional charge of Dh4 per person for bookings of more than one, up to a maximum of four people.

The Transport Authority expressed appreciation for the public’s understanding and cooperation during the suspension period.
