Dubai: All intercity buses now offer free WiFi
text_fieldsDubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed the rollout of free Wi-Fi on all 259 intercity buses. The announcement was made on Wednesday, July 23. The service aims to improve the travel experience for passengers moving between Dubai and other emirates.
The Wi-Fi service is available on buses that operate between Dubai and Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman and Fujairah. It was launched in partnership with e&, a regional telecom provider. Passengers can connect to the internet using their smartphones, tablets or laptops. The free service allows people to stay connected with work, friends and family while on the move.
The RTA had earlier introduced free Wi-Fi at all 43 bus and marine transport stations in Dubai. This rollout was completed on June 17.
In addition to buses and stations, many public places in the UAE also offer free Wi-Fi. This includes all Dubai Metro stations, Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport.
