Dubai churches to be temporarily closed for public, move Easter services online
cancel

Churches in Dubai have been closed to the public until further notice, with Easter services limited to online broadcasts.

The measure took effect on Friday, April 3, with parishioners advised not to visit churches, citing safety concerns and community well-being.

Church authorities said updates and guidance are being shared through official social media channels, including details on how to follow services remotely.

The move comes amid ongoing regional tensions, with the UAE reporting missile and drone attacks since February 28. Iran has said the strikes target US interests in neighbouring countries following attacks involving the United States and Israel.
