Instances of exceptional integrity continue to make headlines in Dubai as individuals are being honoured for their honesty. The latest example comes from the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), which recognised a taxi driver for returning forgotten items left by a passenger.

Deepak Kumar Singh, the taxi driver in question, was celebrated in a formal ceremony where he was awarded a certificate of appreciation by Mattar Al Tayer, Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of Dubai’s RTA. The RTA acknowledged Singh’s integrity in a social media post on X, saying that his actions "boosted passengers' trust and instilled pride within the RTA team".

This is not an isolated case. Acts of honesty by residents across the city are becoming increasingly common. In a separate incident, Dubai Police recently honoured Swadesh Kumar, an Indian expat, for returning Dh100,000 in cash that he discovered in the Al Barsha area. The police announced the recognition on Sunday, highlighting Kumar’s exemplary character.

Similarly, an Egyptian taxi driver demonstrated remarkable integrity earlier this month when he returned valuable items worth Dh1 million left in his vehicle.
