The cooperation agreement, signed Thursday in Riyadh, brings together two major national institutions committed to strengthening rights-based initiatives. Hala Al-Tuwaijri, president of the HRC and Princess Nouf bint Mohammed bin Abdullah, CEO of the King Khalid Foundation, signed the agreement, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The collaboration is set to enhance coordination between the organizations by leveraging their combined expertise to promote rights awareness, develop community programs and drive research into human rights issues in Saudi Arabia.
Key aspects of the agreement include joint research projects, public awareness campaigns and grassroots initiatives designed to embed human rights values in everyday life. The partnership also reflects Saudi Arabia’s broader efforts to promote sustainable development and civil society engagement.
Officials say the move aligns with ongoing reforms in the Kingdom aimed at reinforcing legal protections, expanding public education on human rights, and highlighting the role of civil society in the national development agenda.
The agreement marks another step in Saudi Arabia’s growing efforts to project its evolving human rights framework both domestically and on the global stage.
