The Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia held a community reception at India House in Riyadh on Thursday, with members of the Indian diaspora in attendance during a period of regional tension.

Ambassador Dr. Suhel Ajaz Khan addressed the gathering and praised the Indian community for maintaining calm and supporting local counterparts. He pointed to strong ties between Indian residents and Saudi society.

The ambassador outlined embassy measures to assist citizens, including a 24-hour helpline and consular services that remain in operation. He said remote consular camps have been organised to provide services in areas where residents live and work.

He also referred to coordination with schools and parents to address CBSE examination concerns. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) was conducted in the Kingdom recently.

Ambassador Khan urged citizens to follow official embassy advisories and remain alert. He also said India supports Saudi Arabia’s security and stability, and condemned attacks targeting the Kingdom.

The event ended with acknowledgment of community leaders and volunteers for their role in assisting residents. The embassy said support services for the Indian diaspora will remain available.
