A 40-year-old Indian expatriate has been killed in Sharjah in an incident that is believed to be linked to a dispute stemming from a social media livestream.

The victim, who worked at a juice shop in Dubai, is survived by his wife and son.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the case, while arrangements are underway to repatriate the victim’s body to India.

According to videos circulated by Indian media, the victim and the alleged suspect were involved in a heated exchange during a TikTok livestream before the incident.
