Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has approved the allocation of land for the development of over 17,000 housing units across the emirate.

The decision was made during a meeting of The Executive Council of Dubai, where Sheikh Hamdan endorsed several policies and initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for residents. Under the newly introduced Affordable Housing Policy, 1.46 million square meters of land have been designated for housing projects to enhance accessibility to affordable living options in Dubai.

In addition to housing development, Sheikh Hamdan approved the Enhancing Arabic Language and Islamic Studies Outcomes Policy, reinforcing Dubai’s commitment to educational advancement and cultural preservation. The initiative seeks to strengthen Arabic language and Islamic studies in schools while increasing the proportion of Emirati teachers in core subjects within private educational institutions.

The Executive Council also gave the green light to the Independent Legal Consultant Project, allowing Emirati legal professionals to work as independent consultants without the requirement of establishing law firms. This move is expected to provide greater flexibility for legal experts while enhancing the legal sector in the UAE.

Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the government’s dedication to fostering a prosperous and sustainable society in Dubai, stating that these policies align with the emirate’s long-term vision for social and economic growth.

The newly approved initiatives reaffirm Dubai’s efforts to provide high-quality housing, strengthen its education system, and create more opportunities for Emirati professionals across various sectors.
