The UAE said it intercepted 11 ballistic missiles and 27 drones launched from Iran on Monday, as air defence systems continued to respond to ongoing attacks.

According to the Ministry of Defence, since the escalation began, the UAE has engaged a total of 425 ballistic missiles, 15 cruise missiles and 1,941 drones.

Authorities confirmed casualties linked to the attacks, including two military personnel and a Moroccan civilian working with the Armed Forces. Additional fatalities were reported among nationals of several countries, including Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Palestine and India.

Officials said 178 people were injured, with those affected representing a wide range of nationalities.

In a separate statement, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, condemned strikes on civilian infrastructure, describing them as unacceptable.

He cited attacks on schools, hospitals, desalination and energy facilities, transport hubs and residential areas, calling for the protection of civilian sites amid the escalation.
