London: England enters the finals of a major tournament after a wilderness of 55 years. Harry Kane struck an extra-time winner as England beat Denmark 2-1 at Wembley to reach the final Euro 2020, where they will face Italy. The home side dominated throughout the game still struggled to breach Danish defence. In the 30th minute of the match, Damsgaard of Denmark scored from a stunning free-kick. England equalised the scorecard after nine minutes. Kane's brilliant pass created a space allowing Bukayo Saka to break the Danish defence. Saka's low ball cross ended up in a self-goal by Simon Kjaer, nullifying the Danish lead of one goal over the English.

In the second half, both the teams pressed hard for the advantage. The second half of the game remained goalless. In the extra minutes of the match, captain Kane missed a sterling chance to convert the penalty into a goal. However, Kane scored the goal from the rebound of Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel. The referee awarded a penalty for bringing Raheem Sterling down inside the box. Even though the Danish keeper Kasper Schmeichel nullified Kane's poor penalty strike, Kane scored the goal from the rebound, taking England ahead to the finals.

England reached the final of a major tournament after a gap of 55 years and the first time in the history of the European Championship. English victory gave ecstatic moments among the fans across the globe. England will meet Italy at Wembley Stadium in the final match of Euro 2020 on Sunday.
