Dubai: Yemen's Houthis announced Friday that the death toll from US airstrikes on an oil terminal had risen to 74, with 171 others wounded.

The rebels' Health Ministry in Sanaa, Yemen's capital, reported a toll reflecting the havoc caused by midnight attacks that left fuel trucks on fire and blasted fireballs into the night sky, PTI reported.

The attack is the deadliest known attack in the American airstrike campaign that began on March 15 under President Donald Trump.

The US military's Central Command declined to comment when asked about civilian casualties from the strikes.
