Afghan President congratulates security force for killing Al-Qaeda top No.2, Al Masri

After the murder of senior Al Qaeda leader Abu Mohsin Al Masri, Afghan president Ashraf Ghani congratulated Afghan's security force.

Al Masri, who was in the top wanted list of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) was killed during a military operation led by Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security (NDS).

"President Ghani has congratulated the Afghan Security Force on their last night Military operation against the Al-Qaeda Top No 2, Husam Abdul Rauf AKA Abu Mohsin Al Masri who was killed in an NDS operation in Andar district in Ghazni province", tweeted Sediq Sediqqi,Spoke person for Afghan President

Al Masri is believed as the second in command of Al-Qaeda.Loss of Al Masri, highlights the diminishing effectiveness of Al Qaeda,says Reuters citing Chris Miller,Head of US National Counter Terrorism Centre.
