New Delhi: The former Pakistan Prime Minister never passes up any opportunity to praise India, to take a dig at his rivals back home.

During his campaigning against no-trust motion, Imran Khan went whole hog praising India's 'independent foreign policy' claiming he was trying to achieve something similar for Pakistan.

He admired India for stubbornly pursuing a neutral position in the Ukraine crisis, as well as withstanding American pressure against buying discounted oil from Russia.

The most recently, a day after Indian government slashed fuel prices by Rs 9.5 per litre and diesel by Rs 7 per litre, Imran Khan was quick to hail it.

Despite being part of Quad and pressure from the US, India bought discounted oil from Russia to giver relief to masses, he reportedly said.

Pakistan under his watch was working to achieve an Independent foreign policy, according to his tweet.

Imran Khan said the current regime by Pakistan Muslim League (N) was "running around like a headless chicken with the economy in a tailspin".

After rollback in fuel prices, petrol will now cost Rs 95.91 per litre while diesel will cost Rs 89.67 per litre in Delhi from May 22.
