New York: Republican nominee Donald Trump made what a critic said a "bizarre" remark when he urged Christians to vote for him saying ‘You won't have to do it anymore’.

Faced with increasing challenge from likely Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, Trump told Christians during a campaign in Florida that he will fix everything if they vote for him in the November presidential polls, according to NDTV.

At the event organized by the conservative group Turning Point Action, he said: ‘Christians, you have to get out and vote. You won't have to do it anymore. Four more years, you know what, it will be fixed, it will be fine. You won't have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians. I love you, Christians. I'm a Christian. I love you, get out, you gotta get out and vote. In four years, you don't have to vote again, we'll have it fixed so good you're not going to have to vote.’

It is not known what the Trump meant when he said “You won't have to vote anymore, my beautiful Christians’.

Vice President Kamala Harris has not yet reacted to Trump’s latest remarks.

However, democrat’s spokesperson Jason Singer termed Trump’s speech "bizarre" and "backward-looking".

Trump earlier said if he returned to power he would become a dictator for a day to close the country’s southern border with Mexico; however, he later he termed the comment a joke.

Kamala Harris’ entry in the race has erased Trump’s lead in the opinion polls alongside often threatening to outwit him.
