Iran-Israel escalation: Trump brings 'Doomsday Plane' on & ready
text_fieldsWashington: Amidst indications from US President Donald Trump that he will target Iran's nuclear facilities, the US's most advanced nuclear attack aircraft, known as the 'Doomsday Plane', landed at Andrews Base, Maryland, on Tuesday. The report is based on information from the flight tracking systems that monitor and report on air traffic. This aircraft is designed to ensure the protection of the country's top officials and help carry out government operations in the event of a nuclear war. The aircraft took off from Louisiana on Tuesday evening and arrived near Washington.
The US has four aircraft of the E-4B type. Each of them can carry 112 people. It can fly more than 7,000 miles. It can withstand nuclear blasts, cyber attacks and electromagnetic waves. It is operated by the US Air Force. It can also fire defensive missiles. Its ray dome has 67 satellite dishes, allowing it to communicate with anyone in the world at any time. It can stay aloft for up to a week. It can also be refuelled in the sky.
Donald Trump had said that the US may or may not attack Iran. When asked if the US is close to attacking Iran, he asked if anyone thinks he will answer such questions. He said that no one could tell him what he would do. Trump also expressed his resentment that Iran did not come to the talks earlier. He wondered why Tehran did not come for talks in the first place. He said that it should have come to the talks before the deaths and losses.
Meanwhile, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Qasem Garibabadi said that if the US attacks, all options are “on the table”. Iran does not want to escalate the conflict but warned that it will teach the US a lesson if necessary. If the US tries to intervene in any way, Iran will take strong measures to defend itself. If the US wanted to continue to participate directly in the conflict by supporting the Zionists, Tehran would take all options, the minister said.
In an interview with Iranian state TV, Qasim Garibabadi said that Iran will have to do whatever it takes to teach America a lesson and protect its national interests.
