Tehran: Iran on Monday said it has not yet decided whether to participate in fresh talks with the United States, even as preparations were reportedly underway in Islamabad for a possible new round of negotiations.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated during a press conference that Tehran currently has no plans to attend any upcoming talks, though he stopped short of ruling out the possibility.

“So far, while I am here, we have no plans for the next round of negotiations and no decision has been made in this regard,” Baghaei said.

His remarks come amid indications that authorities in Islamabad have been preparing to host another round of discussions, potentially later this week, though no formal confirmation has been issued by Iran.
