New Delhi: Intelligence sources informed that Pakistan is working towards rebuilding terrorist launchpads and training camps that were destroyed by the Indian Army during Operation Sindoor in May. India had launched the operation targeting terrorist bases in Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

Towards the rebuilding of terrorist infrastructures, the Pakistan Army, the intelligence agency ISI and the government are actively providing substantial funding and complete support. The rebuilding particularly occurs in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and adjacent areas, sources informed.

It was on May 7, India initiated Operation Sindoor, carrying out precision strikes on nine terror camps across Pakistan and PoK, targeting infrastructure linked to three major terror outfits: Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), and Hizbul Mujahideen.

According to Indian intelligence agencies, Pakistani terror organisations, in collaboration with ISI, are attempting to construct high-tech, smaller terror camps in dense forests near the Line of Control (LoC). The selection of location will provide them proper cover from surveillance and airstrikes, India Today reported, citing sources.

The source says that rebuilding is currently happening in areas such as Luni, Putwal, Taipu Post, Jamila Post, Umranwali, Chaprar, Forward Kahuta, Chota Chak, and Janglora. These facilities are being equipped with systems to counter thermal imagers, foliage-penetrating radar, and satellite surveillance, the report says.

Further, the Pakistani Army and ISI are building 13 launching pads in PoK in locations such as Kel, Shardi, Dudhniyal, Athmuqam, Jura, Leepa Valley, Pachiban Chaman, Tandpani, Naiyali, Jankot, Chakoti, Nikail, and Forward Kahuta.

Pakistan is also rebuilding four terror launchpads on the International Border, which were destroyed during Operation Sindoor.
