Ladakh, Meghalaya: Kargil in Ladakh and East Garo Hills in Meghalaya reported earthquakes on Sunday afternoon, though no damages were reported.

When a 3.8 magnitude quake hit Kargil, it was 3.5 in East Garo Hills, the National Centre for Seismology reported. In Kargil, tremors hit at 2:42 pm, and in Meghalaya, the quake happened at 2:37 pm.

Regarding the tremors in Kargil, "Earthquake of Magnitude:3.8, Occurred on 04-02-2024, 14:42:55 IST, Lat: 33.36 & Long: 76.77, Depth: 10 Km, Region: Kargil, Ladakh.", NCS wrote on X.

Regarding the tremors in East Garo Hills, NCS wrote on X, "Earthquake of Magnitude:3.5, Occurred on 04-02-2024, 14:37:15 IST, Lat: 25.80 & Long: 90.69, Depth: 12 Km, Region: East Garo Hills, Meghalaya."
