Kochi : Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko, who recently made headlines after allegedly fleeing a police raid linked to a drug use case, has now been entangled in another controversy. This time, it involves fellow actor Vincy Aloshious, who has accused him of misbehaviour on a film set.
Aloshious had earlier spoken publicly about being mistreated by a co-actor during a film shoot but had refrained from naming the individual. She described the actor’s misconduct and claimed he was seen spitting a white powdery substance. The matter was taken to the Kerala Film Chamber, with the condition that the actor’s identity remain undisclosed.
However, the situation escalated when Kerala Film Chamber general secretary Saji Nandiyattu revealed to the media that the actor in question was Shine Tom Chacko. He also assured that appropriate action would be taken against him. Following this revelation, Aloshious addressed the media, expressing her disappointment that the assurance of confidentiality was broken. She stated that due to this breach of trust, she no longer wished to cooperate with the authorities or continue pursuing the case.
On Friday morning, Aloshious' father informed the authorities that their family had decided not to follow up on the incident. He emphasized that what transpired on the film set should be resolved within the film industry and that the family did not intend to escalate the issue beyond that. Notably, the families of both Aloshious and Chacko have known each other for some time.
In response to the controversy, Shine Tom Chacko took to social media to criticize the media for its coverage of the events surrounding him. He shared a video clip from a widely popular film produced years ago by the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), featuring actor Mohanlal jumping into a swimming pool. Alongside the post, Chacko also shared a promotional image of his upcoming film 'Soothravakyam,' which is where the alleged incident reportedly occurred.
