Air Force jammed China-made Air Defence Systems in Pakistan: India

New Delhi: The Government of India on Wednesday said it had carried out Operation Sindoor in under 23 minutes, underlining the country’s superior defence systems, NDTV reported.

In a statement about the mission, the government also said the Indian Air Force had successfully jammed Pakistan’s Chinese air defence systems installed along its border and Line of Control with India.

The government made it clear that the country carried out the strikes against terror camps in Pakistan ‘without loss of Indian assets’, rebutting the claims of Pakistan that India suffered losses during operation.

‘All strikes were executed without loss of Indian assets, underscoring the effectiveness of our surveillance, planning, and delivery systems. The use of modern indigenous technology, from long-range drones to guided munitions, made these strikes highly effective and politically calibrated,’ the statement said.

The statement further said that India’s operation targeted with precision the key Pakistani airbases of Noor Khan and Rahimyar Khan.

India used what the statement said ‘loitering munitions’, also known as ‘suicide drones’ or ‘kamikaze drones’, targeting high-value locales such as radar and missile system of the neighbouring country.

The Indian Air Force managed to bypass Pakistan's air defence systems jamming the China-made defence equipment.

After these systems were down, Indian forces completed the mission within 23 minutes ‘demonstrating India's technological edge’.

The statement also pointed out the operation saw India using 100 percent ‘made in India’ air defence systems.

‘Operation Sindoor produced concrete evidence of hostile technologies neutralized by Indian systems,’ the statement said.

It is reported that the Indian air defence systems intercepted and destroyed Chinese-made PL-15 missiles, Turkish-made UAVs called 'Yiha' or 'Yeehaw' that Pakistan sent to India.

Meanwhile, ISRO Chairman V Narayanan reportedly said that India’s space agency deployed at least 10 satellites round-the-clock entirely for ‘the strategic purpose of ensuring the safety and security of the citizens of the country’.
