Kuwait’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly denounced the Israeli occupation cabinet’s decision to endorse a plan aimed at taking full control of the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued on Friday, the Ministry described the move as a “flagrant violation” of international law and international humanitarian law, calling it a “mockery of international legitimacy".
According to the statement, the decision undermines the prospects for a two-state solution and obstructs the creation of an independent Palestinian state within the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Ministry reiterated its call for the international community, particularly the UN Security Council, to take decisive action. It urged global powers to compel Israel to halt its military operations in Gaza, allow the immediate delivery of adequate humanitarian aid and end what it described as a policy of starvation against the population.
