A fire broke out at a factory in the industrial area of Umm Al Quwain on Friday evening, sending large plumes of black smoke billowing into the sky.
Emergency response teams from the Civil Defence were quickly deployed to the site to contain the blaze. The extent of the damage and any possible injuries have not yet been officially confirmed. Residents are urged to stay clear of the affected area as emergency operations continue.
The incident comes just days after a devastating fire engulfed a residential tower in Sharjah, claiming the lives of five individuals.
