Vivek Oberoi's business acumen praised by partner: from Bollywood to building a ₹1200 crore empire

While Vivek Oberoi may be best known for his roles in films, the actor has steadily built a reputation as a formidable entrepreneur.

With a business empire now valued at over ₹1200 crore, Vivek has proven that his talents extend far beyond the silver screen.

In a recent conversation on Siddharth Kanan’s YouTube channel, Ricky Vasandani, Vivek’s business partner at Soliatrio, spoke highly of the actor’s entrepreneurial mindset. Vasandani shared that their initial meeting happened by chance - driven by fandom, not business - but quickly turned into a partnership after Vivek expressed a deep interest in lab-grown diamonds.

Ricky recounted, “I had no intention of discussing business when I sponsored an event Vivek was attending in Pune. I just wanted to meet him because I admired his work. But Vivek noticed my jewellery, struck up a conversation, and got genuinely curious about lab-grown diamonds. That led to several meetings, and eventually, he became a mentor to me.”

Describing Vivek as a “walking, talking businessman,” Vasandani praised his detailed approach and analytical skills. “Vivek is next level when it comes to business. He’s involved in every detail and is sharp with analysis and prioritisation. He values ROTI - Return On Time Investment - and his networking skills are exceptional. We also have a clear approach - we don’t believe in burning money,” he added.

Vivek has previously spoken about how business was always a strategic fallback plan in an unpredictable industry. In an interview with The Indian Express, he noted, “Cinema is my passion, but business is my livelihood. It gives me independence - freedom from lobbies or having to compromise my values. That’s not the life I want to live.”

Vivek is currently filming Masti 4, which is expected to be released later this year.
