Richa Chadha expressed her humility upon receiving the award, calling it's a victory not just for her, but for everyone working towards creating diverse and authentic stories. She made history as the first Indian actor and producer to win an Independent Spirit Award.

Talati added that the win is a dream come true, dedicating it to the entire team and women whose voices await being heard.
