Director R. Ajay Gnanamuthu released the first look poster of "Cobra" starring Vikram on the occasion of cricketing star Irrfan Pathan's 36th birthday. Pathan is also present in the first-look poster.
In the film, Vikram plays the lead while Pathan plays the role of French Interpol officer Aslam Yilmaz. This is the cricketing all-rounder's debut in Tamil and first-ever film.
Vikram will be seen in as many as 20 different get-ups in the film according to sources. 'Cobra' was being shot in Russia before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It has been decided by the filmmakers to shift the remainder of the shooting to Chennai in sets.
This is the director's 3rd film apart from Demonte Colony and Imaikaa Nodigal.
