Los Angeles: Rapper Kanye West has issued an apology to Vice President Kamala Harris after facing backlash for a sexually explicit comment about her posted on social media. West had stirred controversy when he posted a derogatory remark about Harris following her defeat to Donald Trump in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.

In a since-deleted message on X, the rapper wrote, “I used to want to f*** Kamala until she lost. I don’t f*** losers anymore.” He later added another post, claiming, “The democrats made me take the loser post down. Naw I’m kidding. They don’t control black people no more. Trump 4 life (sic).”

Following the uproar, West apologized, stating, “Kamala seems like a very nice human, I just wanna say sorry to her kids.”

The 24-time Grammy winner, who has been banned from X previously for posting anti-Semitic content, continued to make headlines with a series of posts. In one message, he declared, “The world is so lucky to have me,” before stating, “Trump’s back in office. Ye’s back a billionaire. The world might just be ok.”

West, who is married to model Bianca Censori after having four children with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, also made some playful remarks about his status, suggesting he might be a “clone” and that he was “warming up” and “rich” enough to “say whatever the f***” he wanted.

In a further post, West reignited his infamous feud with Taylor Swift, whom he had previously interrupted during her 2009 MTV VMAs acceptance speech, declaring, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’mma let you finish. But Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.” He also reshared a post showing that Swift was the only person he followed on Instagram, hinting at their ongoing tensions.

The rift deepened in 2016 when West released the track “Famous,” which contained lyrics suggesting a sexual relationship with Swift and claiming he had made her famous. At the time, Kim Kardashian claimed that West had obtained Swift's approval for the controversial lyrics.
