Malayalam actor Santhosh Nair dies in road accident in Pathanamthitta

Pathanamthitta: Malayalam actor Santhosh Nair was killed in a road accident in Pathanamthitta district of Kerala on Tuesday morning, police said.

The accident took place around 6.30 a.m. at Enathu, when the car in which Nair was travelling collided with a lorry.

He and his wife sustained injuries in the crash. Police said Nair suffered critical injuries after his chest hit the steering wheel of the vehicle. He later succumbed to his injuries. His wife sustained a fracture in her ribs.

Santhosh Nair made his film debut with the 1982 movie “Ithu Njangalude Katha” and went on to act in more than 100 films over a long career, playing a wide range of roles including villain, hero, and supporting characters.

His latest film, “Mohiniyattam”, is currently running in theatres.
