'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' set for Cannes Film Festival
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Tom Cruise-starrer 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' is set to premiere Out of Competition at the 78th annual Cannes Film Festival. According to a press release from the organisers, the eighth instalment of the globally popular spy thriller franchise will screen at the prestigious Grand Théâtre Lumière on May 14.
Cruise, who also serves as producer on the film, will walk the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals alongside long-time collaborator, screenwriter, and director Christopher McQuarrie, along with members of the ensemble cast. This marks Cruise’s return to Cannes following his previous appearances with Ron Howard’s 'Far and Away' in 1992 and 'Top Gun: Maverick' in 2022.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Hayley Atwell, Esai Morales, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Pom Klementieff, Vanessa Kirby, Hannah Waddingham, Nick Offerman, Katy O’Brian, and Tramell Tillman.
Presented by Paramount Pictures and Skydance, 'Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning' will hit Indian theatres on May 23 in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu formats, including IMAX.
The Cannes Film Festival will run from May 13 to May 24, with acclaimed French cinema star Juliette Binoche serving as the president of the jury for the main competition.
