The EC has also removed the Deputy Commissioners of Kolkata Police’s North, South, East, and South-East divisions. VSR Ananthanag takes over as DC (South), Pradip Kumar Yadav as DC (North), Saikat Ghosh (from DC, Bhangar) as DC (South-East), and Prashant Choudhury, SP of Counter Insurgency Force, as DC (East).

Additional transfers span multiple police districts and commissionerates statewide, forming part of routine pre-election measures to ensure impartiality.
