New Delhi: A 21-year-old civil defence official who is a resident of Delhi's Sangam Vihar was allegedly gang-raped and murdered in Haryana's Faridabad on 26th August.
The woman was reportedly picked up while she was returning from work in Lajpat Nagar and taken to Faridabad where she was gang-raped and murdered.
The Faridabad police undertook a search operation on Friday after being alerted by Delhi police and retrieved the body from the bushes. The body has been handed over to the family after its postmortem.
Meanwhile, the victims family has accused two of the victim's colleagues to be involved in the crime. The family said that the Sangam Vihar police fused to accept and register their complaint.
For over a week, the family has been protesting outside their house in Sangam Vihar demanding a CBI probe and fair investigation in the matter.
