Assam man celebrates divorce by bathing in 40 litres of milk

Dispur: When his wife left him for good, Manik Ali decided to celebrate it with a milk bath.

The man in Assam is going viral for choosing to make his day in a novel way.

Ali’s wife is reported to have eloped at least twice, but he did not take any action for the sake of their daughter.

As the woman allegedly went on with her affair, Ali decided to cut off his ties with her.

Following the divorce, Ali got 40-litre milk ready before spreading a plastic sheet to bathe in the milk. After the bath, Ali reportedly said ‘I am free from today’.

Many out online appreciated his attitude even in the face of a difficult situation.

However, some criticized him for wasting huge quantity of milk with one person saying that it should have given to a poor person.

The video posted on instagram garnered huge number of viewers. One person commented that ‘Dudo nahao, azadi milo (May you bathe in milk, may you get freedom).’

Another user questioned him for bathing in milk as he would have to bathe in water afterwards.

One user remarked that bathing in milk is better than bathing in someone’s blood, hinting at murders stemming from illicit affairs.
