Bhagwant Mann meets Arvind Kejriwal in jail, urges voters to save democracy

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in Tihar jail today, marking his second meeting with the AAP chief in a fortnight.
Kejriwal has been incarcerated since April 1 in connection with a money-laundering case linked to the excise policy.
During the meeting, Kejriwal urged Mann to actively campaign for INDIA bloc candidates in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Mann assured reporters that Kejriwal's health is stable, with regular medical check-ups and insulin administration.
Addressing concerns about Kejriwal's well-being, Mann relayed the Delhi CM's message, urging people to exercise their voting rights without worry. He expressed dismay at the circumstances of their meeting, separated by an iron mesh, labeling it as the "height of their hatred."
Mann recounted his recent campaign experiences in Gujarat and Assam, where he received overwhelming support for Kejriwal. He emphasized the significance of the elections in safeguarding democracy and the Constitution.
During their conversation, Kejriwal inquired about Mann's family, particularly his newborn daughter, and the agricultural situation in Punjab amid the Model Code of Conduct. Mann shared positive developments, including Punjab government school students' success in the JEE (Mains) exam.
Earlier, Kejriwal's wife Sunita and Delhi Minister Atishi also visited him in jail.
Arvind Kejriwal's incarceration has drawn attention to broader political issues, with supporters rallying behind him as he awaits legal proceedings in Tihar jail.
