CPI(M) probes alleged RSS tie-up in Delhi Kerala Education Society elections
text_fieldsNew Delhi: The CPI(M)will probe allegations that its leaders held discussions with the RSS and reached an understanding regarding the Kerala Education Society, which oversees the administration of four Kerala schools in Delhi, during the elections to its central governing committee. This was confirmed by CPI(M) Delhi State Secretary Anurag Saxena.
Speaking to 'Madhyamam', Saxena said a section of the party had protested against the reported understanding between CPI(M)and RSS leaders, which was allegedly aimed at avoiding a direct contest, despite CPI(M) planning to field two panels. He added that no formal complaints have been received from party members so far, and action will be taken if the allegations are found to be true.
A similar move by CPI(M) leaders from the Delhi unit two years ago, attempting to form a joint panel with the RSS for the central governing committee, had sparked controversy. At that time, a nomination submitted by a CPI(M) member was reportedly blocked by the RSS lobby, prompting him to resign from the managing committee.
The current elections are being held for the Kerala Education Society’s central governing committee for the 2025–2027 term.
