New Delhi: The extreme right-wing group, Hindu Sena, has emerged demanding changing the name of Delhi, the national capital. They wanted Delhi to be changed to Indraprastha. Hindu Sena has sent a letter to the Lt Governor demanding the same.
The letter claims that Delhi was the capital of the Pandavas. It added that the evidence for the same has been received. Excavations in Delhi in recent times have yielded remains of royal palaces. Therefore many historians believe that Delhi itself is Indraprastha, the letter claimed.
Therefore, Hindu Sena National President Vishnu Gupta has demanded the change in the letter sent to Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena.
