New Delhi: The details of the revelations by Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, that the Election Commission colluded with the BJP to add lakhs of fake votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections are becoming increasingly discussed. Rahul Gandhi announced that the Commission should be ready to hand over the country's digital voter data for the last 10 years and that he would prove that Modi had become the Prime Minister for a third time through fake votes. He said that the voter data from Karnataka is evidence of a crime, and it took them six months to reveal the truth about the irregularities in a single seat. He said that his team will reveal evidence of voting irregularities not only in a single seat in Karnataka but also in the entire country.

Now, what has surfaced is the fake votes in Narendra Modi's own constituency, Varanasi. Congress leader VT Balram revealed on Facebook that a person in Varanasi has 50 sons as per the EC’s voter list, and all are voters.

"The Election Commission's voter list shows that a person named Ramkamaldas, who lives in Narendra Modi's Varanasi, B24/19, Bhelupur ward, has 50 children. The Commission has ensured that everyone gets a vote. So what, in the Mahabharata, whether Dhritarashtra and Gandhari together had 101 children, is a question for those of the species Homo Sanghis," Balram wrote on Facebook.

In the constituency where Modi won by a margin of over four lakh votes in the 2019 elections, he got a margin of 1,52,513 votes in the 2024 elections. This is a decrease of more than three lakh votes from the lead in 2019. Narendra Modi was trailing in Varanasi in the first hours of counting. Varanasi witnessed the surge of Congress candidate Ajay Rai. Although Ajay Rai had a lead of over fifty thousand votes in the first phase, Narendra Modi's lead increased later. When Narendra Modi got a total of 6,12,970 votes, the Congress candidate Ajay Rai got 4,60,457 votes. The opposition party alleged that if the voter list and CCTV footage of the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency are examined, it is a 100% sure fact that evidence of severe irregularities will be found.

Rahul Gandhi accused the Election Commission of hiding something and helping the BJP in vote rigging if it is not ready to hand over the last 10 years of digital voter data and video evidence from polling booths. He was speaking at the 'Vote Adhikar Rally' organised by the Congress at Freedom Park in Bengaluru on Friday. He also demanded that the Karnataka government investigate the vote rigging.

Rahul strongly reiterated his serious allegations against the Election Commission at the event held after the revelation of voter list irregularities that shocked the country.

He said that Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister on the strength of 25 seats and 34,000 votes.
