Peon of unaided school arrested for leaking class 11 papers

Kozhikode: Kerala Police's Crime Branch arrested one more person on Wednesday in connection with the leak of Class 11 Christmas exam question papers last year.
With this, the number of arrests in the case has risen to three, police said.
Abdul Naser, a peon at a private school, was identified as the latest arrest in the case. He is suspected of leaking the question papers to a previously arrested teacher.
The question paper leak was carried out by cutting open the sealed envelope provided by the state General Education Department. Naser took a photo of the question paper with his phone and sent it to a teacher at MS Solutions before resealing the envelope.
According to the Crime Branch SP, the accused has confessed to leaking question papers for several subjects, including Plus One Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, as well as the SSLC English exam.
A senior Crime Branch officer reported that portions of the leaked papers were posted on a YouTube channel. The two previous arrests were teachers who taught on the same YouTube channel and were taken into custody in early February.
In addition to the arrests, the Crime Branch is also planning to move against the owner of the YouTube channel, who has filed for anticipatory bail with the Kerala High Court.
The court has granted temporary protection from arrest, but the Crime Branch has objected to the bail and has already questioned the channel owner once in relation to the case.
