Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday strongly condemned the attack in Jerusalem that targeted civilians. PM Modi said that India "condemns terrorism in all its forms.

The attack occurred at a bus stop in a busy north Jerusalem intersection, where attackers opened fire, killing six people and injuring 12 others, according to reports from Israeli police, emergency services, and local hospitals.

“Strongly condemn the heinous terrorist attack on innocent civilians in Jerusalem today. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to those injured,” Modi said.

He added, “India condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and stands firm in its policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism,” posting the statement on X and tagging Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Many X users questioned Modi’s quick reaction to the Jerusalem attack, pointing out his prolonged silence on pressing national issues and the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
