PM Modi seeks citizens’ suggestions for Independence Day speech
text_fieldsNew Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited citizens to share their ideas and suggestions for his Independence Day speech, to be delivered from the ramparts of the Red Fort on 15 August.
In a post on X, Modi said he looked forward to hearing from people about the themes they would like included in this year’s address. He asked them to submit their inputs through the Open Forums on the MyGov platform or via the NaMo App.
The Prime Minister has regularly sought public participation in preparing his Independence Day speeches, often including grassroots stories, youth achievements, policy suggestions and innovations shared by citizens.
The MyGov platform, launched in 2014, and the NaMo App have become key mediums for such engagement, enabling people to interact directly with government initiatives.
As India prepares to celebrate its 79th Independence Day, the upcoming address is expected to focus on national unity, technological progress and the country’s future vision as it moves towards its 80th year of freedom in 2026.
Ideas submitted by citizens may be featured in the speech, giving people from across the country a chance to have their views echoed from the historic Red Fort.
