New Delhi: New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate has sent notices to Congress President Sonia Gandhi and MP Rahul Gandhi summoning them to its office on June 8.

Both leaders are summoned in allegations of money laundering linked to the National Herald case, according to India Today

Congress leader Randeep Surjewala has reported of the development on Wednesday as well as saying that Sonia Gandhi will go to ED office.

As Rahul Gandhi is away outside the nation, he said, he will ask for more time to appear before ED.

Randeep Surjewala called out ED's summoning of the Congress leaders.

He said by targeting National Herald frequently, BJP disgraced and disrespected freedom fighters.

Further criticizing he said BJP's predecessors had not played a role in India's freedom movement.

He said British tried to suppress the National Herald which was started in 1942.
