Under 'Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan' campaign, Qutub Minar lights up in Tricolour

New Delhi: In a heartfelt display of unity and remembrance, Minister of Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat visited Qutub Minar on 14 May 2025, where a special projection of the Indian tricolour was displayed.
During the event, he honoured the armed forces and paid homage to the courage and sacrifice of the nation’s unsung heroes, celebrating the patriotic spirit they inspire.
As part of this tribute to the enduring spirit of patriotism, the Ministry of Culture has launched a powerful and binding initiative titled “Ek Desh Ek Dhadkan” (One Nation, One Heartbeat).
Aimed at bringing the nation together through a shared sense of national pride, the campaign is already resonating with people across the country, TNIE reported.
The hashtag #EkDeshEkDhadkan (#OneNationOneHeartbeat) is gaining momentum on digital platforms, spreading the message of unity, patriotism, and deep respect for the national flag.
It reflects the collective gratitude of the nation toward its heroes. The courage and sacrifice of the brave and unsung heroes of the country are being honoured.
According to officials, all 43 institutions under the Ministry of Culture have actively and enthusiastically participated in the initiative over the past two days.
The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has illuminated several of the nation’s iconic monuments in the colours of the national flag as part of the campaign.
Cultural institutions like the Victoria Memorial in West Bengal, the Salarjung Museum in Hyderabad the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) in Delhi, and the Regional Science Centre in Lucknow have also actively joined the initiative.
The National Archives of India has participated as well, lighting up its iconic building in the Tricolour.
Under ASI’s direction, over 60 heritage sites across India have been lit up, including notable landmarks in Delhi such as the Red Fort, Qila Rai Pithora, Safdarjung Tomb, and Purana Qila.
Other illuminated sites include Kumbhalgarh, Chittorgarh, and Fort Ghanta in Rajasthan; Gulab Badi in Uttar Pradesh; Udaygiri Caves in Odisha; the Ashokan Column in Bihar; Rahatgarh Fort in Madhya Pradesh; and Fort Ballarpur in Maharashtra.
