New Delhi: Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Pashupati Kumar Paras resigned on Tuesday, accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party of "injustice" towards his party. The minister accused BJP for excluding his party, Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party from a seat-sharing deal with allies for the Bihar Lok Sabha elections.

Paras made his announcement at a press conference one day after the BJP-led NDA revealed its plan to share seats, awarding five seats to the Ram Vilas-led LJP led by Chirag Paswan.

During the press conference, Paras declared his resignation in brief but gave no details about his future plans.

The president of the RLJP began by thanking Modi and then expressed his discontent with the way he had been treated. He claimed that despite his honesty and loyalty in serving the National Democratic Alliance, he was treated unfairly.
