New Delhi: As the national capital grapples with severe pollution levels, a song shedding light on Delhi's deteriorating air quality has gained traction across the internet.

The musical piece, presented in the form of a qawwali, is an artistic commentary on the alarming pollution crisis in Delhi-NCR.

Musicians Nibhay Garg and Vasu Sharma crafted this impactful song, offering a satirical take on the classic melody, "Tumhe Dillagi Bhool Jani Padegi." In their rendition, they adeptly weave together verses addressing the prevalent pollution woes and the government's perceived inaction in ensuring cleaner air for residents.

The video showcases the duo performing atop a rooftop, with one musician playing the harmonium and the other accompanying on the guitar as they passionately vocalize the song's poignant lyrics.

Captioned as "Khansi bani qawwali hai. Listen to the best qawwali of @sitarandguitar and @vaasudevammusic on the pollution of Delhi-NCR," the video has gained significant traction on social media platforms, amassing over 160,000 views and eliciting numerous comments from engaged viewers.

One user expressed appreciation for the song's creativity, acknowledging its portrayal of climate change and air pollution. Another hailed it as one of the finest internet finds in a long time, while a third user labeled it as "epic."

The video's resonance signifies the growing concern among the public regarding the hazardous air quality in Delhi and its adverse impact on health.

The Air Quality Index (AQI) levels, ranging between 150 to 500, highlight the severe repercussions on both healthy individuals and those with pre-existing health conditions such as respiratory illnesses, asthma, and heart diseases.
