New Delhi: Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar said that none of the 33 countries that Indian delegations visited following Operation Sindoor blamed Pakistan for Pahalgam attack, NDTV reported.

Questioning the outcome of the government’s global outreach programme, Aiyar said ‘None of the 33 countries that Tharoor and his team visited blamed Pakistan for the Pahalgam terror attack. Neither the UN nor the United States have held Pakistan responsible’.

Alleging that the government was not able to present any evidence to convince others about Pakistan’s involvement, Aiyar said ‘We are the only ones saying that Pakistan is behind it, but no one is willing to believe us’.

Taking a swipe at Shashi Tharoor in particular, Aiyar said: ‘Shashi Tharoor and his friends can roam around as much as they want, but apart from Israel, no one else has said that Pakistan was behind the Pahalgam terror attack. Everyone is condemning terrorism, but no one is willing to blame Pakistan.’

Further attacking the government, Aiyar said the government was not ready to call out President Trump’s claim that the US had brokered the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, ‘The government does not dare to speak the truth’.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said on Saturday that Oppositon was raising questions about Operation Sindoor rather than ‘paying tribute to the valour displayed by our armed forces’.

‘Recently, we had discussions in both houses of parliament on Operation Sindoor. Both debates lasted for 16 hours each. The Opposition, which had started off on a belligerent note, was left dumbstruck,’ Singh reportedly said in Delhi.
